DRAFT — not yet legal advice. This document is a structured starting point that covers the disclosures the compliance guide requires. It must be reviewed and finalized by a consumer-protection lawyer before launch, and this box must be deleted at that point.
Section 1Who you are contracting with
These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you and 9574-4702 Québec inc., operating as Clarifin, whose full contact details appear in the Company Information page and in Section 12 below. “We”, “us” and “our” mean 9574-4702 Québec inc. “You” means the person who purchases a subscription.
Section 2What we sell
We sell subscriptions that give access to the Clarifin platform, a digital financial education platform, and to the content and services included in the plan you select. That content and those services are described on the curriculum and plans pages.
We do not lend money, and we do not extend credit, grant a line of credit, or provide financing of any kind as part of this program. Certain plans include a promotional cashback benefit, which is governed by the Cashback Program Terms.
The platform provides general educational information. It is not personalized financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, and we are not your financial advisor.
Section 3Your subscription and your access
Your plan, its access period, its price and everything included are set out in the order summary you review and confirm, and are repeated in the contract we send you.
Access begins when your subscription is activated. We will send an activation email to the address you gave us, with the information you need to sign in. Your access continues for the full access period of your plan.
Your access does not depend on how much of the content you view. We do not require you to complete any lessons, and we do not reduce or withdraw access based on your usage.
Section 4Price, taxes and fees
The subscription price, applicable taxes, any additional fees, any transaction fees and the resulting total are itemized on your order summary before you confirm your order. Prices are in CAD.
We do not charge amounts that were not disclosed to you on that summary before you confirmed.
Section 5Payments
The number of payments, the amount of each payment, how often they are taken and the date of each one are shown on your order summary and in your contract.
These payments are the price of your subscription and of the content and services included in your plan. They are not repayment of the promotional cashback and they are not interest.
Preauthorized debit arrangements, including how to change or withdraw your authorization, are set out in the Payment Terms.
Section 6The promotional cashback
If your plan includes a promotional cashback, the amount, eligibility conditions, expected timing and payment method are shown on your order summary and set out in the Cashback Program Terms.
The promotional cashback is a promotional benefit associated with your plan. It is not a loan, a cash advance, a line of credit or any form of financing, and you do not pay it back to us.
Section 7Cancellation and refunds
Your cancellation rights, the deadline, the procedure, the effect on your access and our refund policy are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Section 8Your contract copy
After you confirm your order we will send you a copy of your contract by email, in a form you can keep and print. For distance contracts governed by Quebec law this will be sent within 15 days of the contract being entered into.
Section 9Acceptable use
Your access is for your own personal use. Please do not share your sign-in details, redistribute or resell the content, or attempt to circumvent access controls. Course materials remain our property or that of our licensors; the worksheets we describe as downloadable are yours to keep and use personally.
If you break these rules in a material way we may suspend or end your access. We will tell you why, and any refund owed to you is handled under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Section 10Privacy
How we handle your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Commercial electronic messages are governed by the Electronic Communications notice.
Section 11Limits, and what we cannot limit
The platform is provided for general education. We do not promise any particular financial outcome, and decisions you make about your own money remain yours.
Nothing in this agreement removes, limits or waives any right, remedy or guarantee that the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer legislation gives you and that you cannot legally give up. Where any term here conflicts with such a right, that right applies and the conflicting term does not.
